A collection of watercolour, pastel and acrylic art.

Abstract Cambridge city skyline with punt and Colleges in silhouette. Original canvas on Arches watercolour paper 27 x55 cm approx. watercolour and acrylic. Artist Lorna Markillie 2020

I have a diverse selection of paintings in these galleries and more are added on a regular basis.

Especially, check out my paintings on Yupo paper, a compelling and unique alternative to traditional art papers. It is a waterproof, stain-resistant and extremely strong and durable medium that enables me to create wonderful, free flowing, radiant images.

If you would like an original or a print of any of my work it can be purchased directly from this website.  Alternatively, please contact me via the contact page or via my email lorna@lornamarkillie.co.uk

I am always happy to accept a commission and paint for you a unique image. Again just contact me – lorna@lornamarkillie.co.uk

  2. Dear Lorna,
I’m involved in Men’s and Women’s Sheds in Staithes, Whitby and Littlebeck in North Yorkshire.
We are to start a new Shed to combat isolation in Robin Hood’s Bay. We always produce a promotional postcard with the purpose of Sheds on the reverse and an image on the front. I came across the work by you depicting the pub at the bottom of the Bay.
I wondered whether you would agree for me to use the image of your work with the BayThorpe Sheds title and details superimposed.
We did the same for Staithes where we used a painting featuring crab pots in the harbour. We would put an acknowledgement to you in words of your choice.

    1. Hello Graham, I have looked at Men’s and Woman’s Sheds and love it. I have sold my original of my watercolour of the Robin Hood Bay image but are happy to donate a print version for use as long as my copyright and website – LoranMarkillieArt is clearly shown on the postcards . Posters and only for the Sheds use etc. I will connect you and arrange to send you a high quality JPEG shortly. best regards Lorna
